Can You Swim In Your Waist Trainer?

Can You Swim In Your Waist Trainer?

TL;DR

Yes, you can swim in your waist trainer.

Wear your waist trainer on the first row of hooks, and remember to wash it clean afterwards to remove the chlorine.

Don’t wear it on the last row of hooks, and don’t wear it when you swim competitively.

It’s pretty comfortable and supports your core.

Can you swim in a waist trainer?— this is surprisingly the most burning question we always get 😱

Well, you definitely can! But there are a few important points to take note of first.

So before you start showing off your impressive butterfly strokes, read on to find out what these important points are.

Why Should You Swim in Your Waist Trainer?

To be honest, I was a little puzzled at first when I heard that our #WomenOfWaistlab wanted to swim in their waist trainers.

It turns out that wearing a waist trainer beneath your swimsuit can give a bit of a confidence boost! The coverage that a waist trainer provides helps make you look more shapely in the water.

It also supports your core at the same time!

The Do’s & Don’ts of Swimming in Your Waist Trainer

Do wear your waist trainer on the first row of hooks when you swim for the best comfort. As the waist trainer slowly absorbs the water, it might make the waist trainer feel tighter than usual. This is why it’s best for you to wear it on the first row of hooks instead.

Do rinse your waist trainer after swimming to remove the chlorine. You simply need to hand wash your waist trainer in lukewarm water, squeeze the water out (don’t wring it), and air dry it indoors (not outdoors).

Don’t wear your waist trainer on the last row of hooks. You might feel breathless when you swim.

Don’t wear a waist trainer if you’re swimming competitively.

So How Does It Feel to Swim in Your Waist Trainer?

Let’s ask Anis! She recently headed out to a pool and tested this out for you.

She donned her swimsuit, buckled her trusty waist trainer, and got to work. She floated around, did a few front strokes and even went inside the jacuzzi.

I never thought I could swim in a waist trainer until I entered the pool with one on. Never expected it to be that comfortable to do laps in the pool with it.” - Anis
